At St. Anne’s, we believe in nurturing leadership, responsibility, and community spirit among our pupils. This year, our Primary 7 pupils have proudly stepped back into an important role as SAMs, which stands for St. Anne’s Monitors. The SAMs play a vital part in supporting our younger pupils throughout the school day. Whether it’s helping in the playground, guiding new routines, or offering a friendly face, they are there to make sure everyone feels safe, included, and cared for. This initiative reflects and reinforces our school values of Kindness, Respect, Belonging and Connections, and Growth. By living out these values, our SAMs create a positive environment where every child feels they belong and can thrive.
For our P7 pupils, being a SAM is more than just a responsibility—it’s an opportunity to develop essential life skills. They learn leadership, communication, and teamwork, while also building confidence and empathy. These experiences prepare them for the transition to post-primary school and beyond.
We are incredibly proud of our SAMs and the example they set forthe whole school community. Their commitment shows that leadership starts with small acts of kindness and a willingness to help others.
