Covid 19 A link provided by the PHA containing a variety of help line support services that parents can access. At present the Coronavirus is the cause of much anxiety and concern for young people and families. The link above will take parents to some resources designed to help cope with such stress and uncertainty at this time. As families continue to assist their children with their learning at home during the Covid-19 situation, DE has published a list of resources that may be of helpful to parents, carers and pupils. Making the most of family time during the COVID-19 lockdown. Deirdre McAliskey, from the National Children’s Bureau and Maurice Meehan, PHA Northern Ireland, consider how families can explore ways to stay safe, healthy and happy during the COVID-19 lockdown. A resource pack compiled by the ‘Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership’ (CYPSP). It includes resources for outdoor play, details of creative ideas and other initiatives, along with links to appropriate websites which families may find useful over the next few months. Access practical resources, guidance and videos on a range of subjects including: how to talk to your child about Coronavirus; how to cope with stress; anxiety and uncertainty during this time; practical mindfulness resources and advice on dealing with bereavement, and on supporting children’s mental health and well being during periods of disruption.
