Off to pastures new

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye and good-luck to Father Feargal. Our school family gathered together to show their appreciation for all that he has done for us, during his eight years.

Pupils sang, recited and performed bespoke songs, tunes and poems to celebrate Father Feargal’s love of learning, language and culture, and to give thanks for his gifts of friendship and faith. They also danced and presented him with pictures and cards.

Father Feargal’s presence around our school has been one of cheeriness, hope and comfort. He has inspired us, stretched us and challenged us – always keen to share his knowledge and offer words of encouragement. Father Feargal took great delight in the smallest and simplest of things and helped us realise how much we have to be grateful for.

God bless Father Feargal as he continues his ministry in the Parish of Portaferry and Ballygalget. We also take this opportunity to warmly welcome Father Peter into our school community.
