We hope to establish a walking bus in the new year and are working with Belfast Healthy City, as part of a pilot scheme. Before doing so, the eco agents have been busy gathering lots of pre walking bus data to measure the impact: traffic surveys, use of pedometers to count steps of journeys and the monitoring of air quality on the school site. All P5 classes have been using a variety of resources compiled by Belfast Healthy City exploring relevant themes such as Air Pollution, Active Travel and Road Safety.  Following this, pupils will set about planning a given route. We hope lots of pupils will get on board and join the movement!
