The mouth-watering aroma of pancakes cooking wafted along our corridors today, Shrove Tuesday. Pupils had lots of fun mixing the ingredients but not half as much as eating them! To top it all off, some classes had a pancake flipping competition. Did you know, the largest ever pancake was made in Rochdale, Greater Manchester in 1994 and had to be flipped using a crane. It was 49 feet wide and one-inch thick, weighing over three tonnes (the weight of an African elephant!).
