One of the very first jobs for our newly elected Primary 4 Eco Agents was to roll up their sleeves and tackle an important task — clearing the school pond of fallen leaves.
Why is this so important? When leaves accumulate in a pond, they begin to decompose, which can reduce oxygen levels in the water and harm the plants and wildlife that call the pond home. By removing the leaves, our Eco Agents are helping to keep the pond clean and healthy, ensuring it remains a thriving habitat for nature.
This hands-on activity is just the beginning of their mission to care for our school environment and promote sustainability.
