P2OC and P5MW entered the ‘Design a Billboard Challenge’, which seeks to support the Belfast City Council’s anti-litter campaign, highlighting the impact of litter and graffiti in our community. Did you know it costs £12.8 million each year to keep the streets of Belfast clean? Pupils loved the opportunity of brainstorming, designing and creating the billboards -. their designs eye-catching, their messages simple but effective. Who knows, maybe one or even both, will be selected by the judges to be displayed as billboard advertisements across the city of Belfast.
‘Steve the Street Sweeper’ also visited our P1 pupils to talk about the importance of keeping our city clean. Pupils were very keen to offer their support and promise to help spread the anti-litter message of ‘Stop it, don’t drop it!’
