Our school choir sang their way to success at ‘The St Anne Trust: Belfast Primary Schools Choir of the Year 2017’.
The pupils ranging from Primary 5 to Primary 7 relished the opportunity to perform in the iconic Belfast Cathedral along with 11 other primary schools. Singing ‘Child of the World’ and ‘Bare Necessities’, conducted by Mrs Mc Gleenan and accompanied by Rae Shiels, they really did themselves proud, in their first ever competition.
The esteemed adjudicator Donal McCrisken said they were an accomplished choir who sang with a lovely warm tone. He also remarked on their focus, passion and commitment and awarded them a very respectable third place, only two marks behind the winners. We would like to thank The St. Anne Trust for their warm welcome and hospitality and hope to return next year, better and stronger.
