Getting on board

Our pupils hopped on to the Translink Safety Bus to be educated about the safe use of buses and the dangers and consequences of anti-social behaviour. The Translink Community Safety Officers Kevin and Sue also addressed general bus etiquette including signalling for the driver to stop, respecting other passengers, putting tickets in the bin, not putting bags on seats, moving up thebus to create space at the front and where to stand in preparation for disembarking. It is hoped that these sessions ease the transition to public transport, demystifying the ‘’big bus’ as our P7 children move to ‘big school’.
