Empowering our Pupils

‘Speak out Stay Safe’ was the key message reinforced in this year’s NSPCC online programme. All classes were given the opportunity to watch the assemblies, featuring ‘Ant and Dec’ and ‘Buddy’, the NSPCC mascot. Follow up workshops using a variety of age appropriate resources helped our pupils understand: abuse in all its forms and how to recognise signs of abuse; that abuse is never a child’s fault and that they have the right to be safe; where to get help and the sources of help available to them, including the Childline service.
