Spring has definitely sprung in St. Anne’s. Bulbs that were planted in October are now ‘a host of golden daffodils’ dancing in the breeze. As participants in the Edina Trust Bulb Project, pupils from England, Ireland and Wales were required to supply a variety of data to test a number of scientific hypotheses. Our P5 pupils had to record the daily temperature and rainfall as well as monitor and measure the heights of their plants. As well as developing their mathematical and scientific skills, pupils also used their plants as a stimulus to create some beautiful still life art.
