Beyond Skin

Some of our P6 school councillors and peers attended a creative workshop event as part of Beyond Skin’s #ArtsDialogue and  #Youth4Peace initiatives. During the workshop, pupils explored Arabic and Middle Eastern culture. Mrs Lapin, a parent of pupils here in St Anne’s who had spent time in Afghanistan working as Humanitarian, told the pupils what life was like there for people, particularly young children. The councillors explored some of the culturally significant items used in Afghani homes, their traditional dress and their customs. The session finished with a creative music workshop led by special guest, Luna Abu Nassar.
