Team building!

Our P7s were set the ‘toothpicks and marshmallow’ challenge and were required to design and build a freestanding earthquake resistant structure.  Pupils discovered that the triangle is the strongest shape in engineering! They also got an insight into the challenges engineers face when designing structures to withstand earthquake damage. Please be rest-assured….no marshmallows were harmed or eaten in the making of these buildings!
