All 3 papers begin at 10.00 am and last for one hour (with the exception of those ‘extra time’ candidates). AQE recommends that candidates sit all 3 papers, however as the final age-standardised score is achieved through ‘best 2 out of 3’; it is only compulsory to attend 2 papers. Each paper presents candidates with a combination of both Literacy and Numeracy questions.
