Five pupils from P5COB’s class successfully represented St. Anne’s at the Feis Bheal Feirste, lifting seven medals in total! Mrs Cliona O Boyle delivered a series of Irish lessons to all pupils in her class, allowing them to develop their conservational Irish (Comhra) and to recite poetry (Filiocht). Each child received a certificate for their participation and endeavours. However, five particularly talented young ladies, were selected to compete on a Saturday morning in the Inter-Schools’ Feis, where over 20 schools participated.
Speaking fluently and with great expression, the girls were awarded 1st and 2nd places in the Poetry Recital Section as well as 2nd and 3rd places in the Conversation Section. They were cheered on by their dedicated teacher and families, who were delighted with their performances and the results. Comhghairdeas!
